Update me, been out of the game for awhile

I got out of snake raising about 7 years ago, started new hobbies like raising a family and other things.

I'm aware that some things occurred federally regarding the interstate sale of Burmese pythons (and others?). Can someone shed a little light on the intricacies of the government dictates? Like, what mutations are available in CA? Who has them for sale? What is the process of buying interstate (if there is any, like permits, etc)?

    Thanks in advance.

I don't remember everything because I don't keep any of the giants. I think Burms are not allowed across state lines period. I think Retics are transportable but only if you were a member of USARK before a certain point this year. Not sure who sells what out in California although I'm sure there are some options there.

burmese pythons, african rock pythons, and i believe yellow anacondas were all added to the lacey act and none of them can be taken or shipped across state lines. retics were put on there but were taken off the list along with green anacondas. you can still buy them in your state, not sure of the sales in CA though, but you can check on kingsnake.com for any local in state listings, also check craigslist too.

If anyone knows of Burmese breeders in CA, please post.

I've been looking to add my name to a few breeders' contact lists for hypos. I currently know of only Prehistoric Pets and El Segundo Pythons.

These are the only two I know of off the top of my head. LLL gets burms in every once in a while, but they aren't breeding them, so it would be something they got from another breeder.
