    Breeding Eggbound Female?

Hey guys. So in 2013 I paired my Clown 66% Hypo girl with my Enchi Lesser male. She didn't show any interest, or signs of being gravid. Of course in August 2014, while routinely adding water to bowls, I pulled her tub open, and she was sitting on 2 eggs. I think I startled her, so I left her alone and came back the next day, hoping she would pass the rest of the eggs. Nothin! I pulled the eggs, and a week later my buddy came over and confirmed she still had ~4 left in her. So I took her to the vet and they surgically surgically removed them.

I skipped pairings in 2014, but I want to breed again this year, starting around November. Does anyone with experience with this sort of thing have any input?

Anyone that knows me knows that I adore my snakes.. I would never do anything that I feel would be bad for them.

    Thanks,

I think I would ask the vet WHY she didn't pass those eggs. If it happened once, I would assume there was a greater chance that it would happen again.

She could have not felt secure anymore after you opened the tub and decided to hold them back.
If two passed, that would be the only reason I would imagine she didn't lay the rest.
The vet didn't mention anything odd at that time?

Thanks guys, I'm going to double-check with my vet, and find out. Hopefully she still remembers. It happened a year ago.

I'm with Pit on this one, but I agree to double check with the vet just to make sure.

So.. good news is my vet said she'll be able to breed. Unfortunately my vet couldn't take the time to call me and answer a few more questions. So I'm not sure the cause. Well I'm still excited, and hope to make some awesome het clown combos in the future ! Just going to watch her like a hawk so I can catch the signs!
