    Lock on enclosure?
    Lock on room?
    Live alone? House mates?

I am paranoid - then again our neighborhood went from a rather nice place to live to pretty much ghetto in a span of five years. We have homeless drug addicts literally sleeping on the other side of our back fence. I added privacy fencing to the five foot chain link, and also made the fence about two feet taller. We keep both gates locked 24/7. I installed electronet fence around the livestock perimeter, which gives good shock, and the inside pens are each individually locked for the night. I also lock the goat area. Three dogs helps too.

I want to add cameras, but BF doesn't want to spend the money.
    Still working on that.

I think the micro chip is a good idea for your Burm.
Nothing is perfect, but every added measure can help.
