    The scaleless heads are generally characterized by smaller/abnormal scales around the area in which the scale is missing. Yours doesn't appear to have this. If i has to hazard a guess, I would say it is probably an injury or something that caused the snake to lose the scale. Wait a few sheds and see if it grows back. If it doesn't and you don't feel its an injury then you can always try to breed it out.

    My Enchi Lesser came to me missing a few facial scales as well. Not banking on it being genetic.
