Older Ball Python lays one egg??!! (No mate for years.)
My 15 year old ball python has refused to eat for a couple of months. She went through a soaking phase and then is now over it. I came home today to find her coiled tightly next to a HUGE white egg-shape mass. (Easily 2.5 inches in oval diameter.) I have obviously seen her pass smaller (much smaller) calcium/uric deposits, but this is giant. She's only about 5 feet long. Any ideas??!! Don't know how to post a picture...this is my first post!
Thanks....

I just looked through her coils and there looks to be at least one more under her!! What to do? Do I remove them before they rot? Is there any possibility they will hatch??!!

Photos will help a bunch.
Do you only have to one?
Is she in her own enclosure?

If you do not have an incubator do not touch her at all. Either plan to leave her alone for the next 60 days, set up an incubator tonight (there are a few stickies on it), or toss out the eggs. If you remove the eggs, wash the tub and the female really well to get her back eating again. I usually just switch up tubs. Seems like no matter how much I clean, the pheromones stick!

When was the last time she was with a male...2years ago??? If you can house and care for the babys if they hatch and dont have a incubator leave her alone and keep the humidity high and wait for the the next 60 days

Leave her alone, she may still have more eggs inside her. Monitor the Temps and let her do her thing until they hatch. Keep an eye out for mold. Keep us updated
