    Depends on the feeder. Anything up to small rats I give 30 minutes, maybe longer. Large/jumbo rats, or rabbits could be over an hour. Rabbits especially take a while as their fur is a good insulator.

    Once I think it's ready I hold it for about 30 seconds and make sure there's no sudden cooling off to indicate the inside of the feeder is still cold.
