that vendor had a breeder size tristripe male for sale at $4500, which was a bit outside my price range

Yeah about $4k outside mine too! LOL

Though I could see going up to as much as a thousand for a really stunning Bamboo. I was talking to a breeder a few weekends back at the Charlotte, NC show who got into Bamboos last year and he paired his bamboo male to a few normal females and ended up producing 6 bamboos in all so he easily made his money back and then some.
