Moving with a snake??
Hey guys I will be moving about 30 mins away from where I live now in a week. Any suggestions on how to successfully move one ball python with as least stress as possible?

Re: Moving with a snake??
Put the snake in a pillowcase tie a knot at the opening. Then place the bag in an appropriate size plastic tub with a lid and set it on the floor board of your vehicle.... Or the front seat will be fine....

30 minutes is nothing. Almost every snake anyone buys will have at least a 30 minute drive. I moved from Gulfport, Mississippi to Seattle, Washington in December of 1992 with my Ball in the car with us on our drive and that took at least a week. We put him in a pillowcase and then on a pillow in someones lap.

Pillowcase + Plastic Tub = Secure Transport. You don't want it getting loose in your car, as snakes have a tendency to disappear into seats or up in the dashboard.
Otherwise a 30 minute trip is nothing.

Ha. We moved from California to Maryland last April with about 150 snakes. It was a pretty complicated move for us (had to use heat packs every night and cool water bottles during the day) but I think 30 minutes in a pillowcase is just fine.
