Is this a mohave pastel or a butter ball?

My sister's boyfriend got a new snake, was told he was a "mohave pastel". I think it's a butter (I have a butterball and they look exactly alike). What do the BP veterans here think?

Looks kinda light, so I'm not sure. But I'm pretty sure it's "Mojave" and a Mojave Patel would be a "Pastave", Just an FYI. Best of luck finding out the morph though 😩👌

I'm aware of this. Fun fact is, I came to these forums a couple years ago to find out if my butterball had any pastel in him, because his colors were very vibrant and he also had a pale spot on his head (like a little birthmark, it's cute). I was shot down and told he was a butter anyway.
So if this snake is a pastel/pastave, then mine has to be too. Which is why I'm overwhelmingly curious.

Unfortunately, just because this snake is a Pastave does not mean your snake also has to have pastel. Mojave and Butter look different, and also look different when paired with Pastel. Mojave is a darker morph, and Pastel tends to brighten it up (making it resemble a Butter I suppose). A Butter Pastel is generally overall brighter than a Pastave. I would trust the opinions you received on this forum a few years ago. If people here told you your snake was a Butter, I wouldn't say they were wrong just because your snake resembles this one.

If you want a second opinion on your Butter, you can post photos of it a second time. Your snake is older now, and people may have better suggestions for you with additional photos!

It's a pastave. Post a pic of your other snake so we can ID it.

Its a pastave, but unfortunately that does not mean your other snake is a pastel butter.
