Re: Is this a pastel?
Yeah, I could totally see it being a spector. Especially because the eyes are so dark. And its definitely a lot lighter than any normal BP ive seen thus far. More opinions would definitely be appreciated though!

Re: Is this a pastel?
I agree it's definitely not a pastel more likely a light normal or a Spector. I don't no about anybody else but in some of the pics I thought I saw some fire maybe. What was the breeder selling him as?

Re: Is this a pastel?
I actually picked him up at my local independent pet store. I know the breeder is in the area, but I couldn't tell you which one. The label just said juvenile captive bred BP. They had a whole bunch that had just came in and they were selling them for 40(I only see prices that low at reptile shows usually) so I jumped on it. Are there any definitive marking for either spector or fire? He has a solid wite belly, bright color, with even more yellow towards the base of his sides, and a really cool blushing on top of his head. I tried to pop him last night but I couldnt get a good beat on it. Nothing resembling hemepenes came out, and the color was really light pink with no dark spots that I could see, but Id have to get myself a new probing kit to be sure I guess. Lost mine ages ago.

Re: Is this a pastel?
Ill take a better photo of his belly in a day or two. He just ate his first meal since he left the breeder so I dont want to upset him too much haha. So far he's been fear response striking anything and everything that moves, but I think he is just still getting used to the new environment. Yellowbelly would be exciting too though! Ive seen the super version before and its stunning. Still secretly kinda hoing for specter though. What I read online said a lot of the babies start out a color very close to him and then they grey out as they age. Can anyone confirm or deny that?
