Weird scratch on belly scales. Help?

My month old BP has this scratch a quarter inch long running down his belly scales, it's not bleeding or anything and he's doing fine, but I don't know if I should be concerned. The scales are also darker down the scratch like its been there for a while. Maybe he was born with it. I don't know. I didn't notice it till now but I've only held him a couple times. It's about two and a half inches up from his vent. I'll try to get pics soon.

Sounds like its were the umbilical cord was and that little line is normal. Dose it look like this

Yeah it does look like that but a little darker. I can't post the link here but if you search "Belly scale scratch" in the gallery I posted a picture, I put a red circle around the area

yep, it looks like the umbilical cord line. no worries. i think your BP just has a different belly pattern. if this is the only belly line on your BP, then it is was the umbilical cord.

Ok, thanks so much guys, thats really good to know. i thought he had maybe cut himself on a sharp piece of bedding or something
