Safe de-wormer for balls?
What is the most common/safest dewormer prescribed for balls? I'm going to try and get my rescue to the vet this week and I won't want her to be given something that isn't safe. We have a vet who sees reptiles but isn't a specialist so I need to be informed. Thanks.

I think this is the one he found that had been living outside for a while after it either escaped or was let go by the prior owner, so there's a chance it ate wild rodents and now has a parasite load.
The vet will need to do a fecal exam to determine which parasites it has before prescribing de-wormer, as some are more effective than others on various parasites.
That said, Panacur is usually the go-to for reptiles as it's decently tolerated and has a high safety threshhold. It's often given to anything WC as not only is it a wormer but it has a side effect as an appetite stimulant.
Ivermectin also works and is effective on a broad spectrum of parasites but has a low safety threshhold so the dosage must be calculated carefully.

Thank you and yes, this is the one that was found outside. She has very nasty feces and her vent is very irritated. She goes the vet in a hour or so to get checked out. I know Ivermectin can be bad for some reptiles and wanted to make sure there wasn't other common meds that might also be rough on the system.

Well, He ended up being treated with antibiotics for a infection, flagyl for possible giardia from the river water he drank and I got a cream to use on his belly burns from the hot pavement.
He get another antibiotic injection in three days and one more dose of flagyl in 2-3 weeks.
