Found a rosy boa!
I was seeking a rosy boa and found one in Ohio. She is a 2013 female San Felipe from a breeder who is getting out of rosies. She was a holdback of his.

Congrats!
I almost picked up a couple of them off of CL a few weeks ago. But the drive was just too far.
Yours is a pretty one.

Re: Found a rosy boa!
Thanks! She is on her way- fiance is picking her up tomorrow.
Breeder says he only provides water twice per month because they can die from a RI if water is always in their cage. Is this accurate? It makes me feel really weird not having water in her cage. It is a screen topped 10 gallon for now. I have a 20 ready for her, but for QT she will be in a 10.

It depends on the type of cage. He may be using tubs. A rosy was my first snake, and for the first year or so, I provided fresh water at all times, then changed to once a week after reading an article on rosy boa care, which I continued for a few years. Now, I'm back to supplying her with fresh water at all times (in a small-diameter dish she can't spill or fit herself into). She is now 19 and still doing very well and has been in a screen-topped tank this entire time, with nothing to restrict airflow.
So, either way probably works so long as the cage is well ventilated and humidity is low. But it doesn't hurt to play it safe. Especially while you're getting used to what's normal for her.
