My BP tried to escape... By breaking the viv.

So, i've only had Corkii for a few weeks now, and he is already an escape artist.

The first time he escaped was entirely my fault, as I forgot to put the lock on the tank. He opened up the door (its a sliding door) and found a place to hide under my units. I didn't even know there was a gap under the drawer and the floor, as it appeared to be sealed all the way round. It took 2 and a half hours to find him. And that was the first time.

So, the second time he escaped was last night. Yesterday we went paintballing (great fun, but I got shot in the throat, and it effing hurt) and I was super tired. But I got woken up by a loud crash, and with shock, tried to find the light switch. I admit, I hadn't turned on the light, but I was already panicking as I thought one of the gecko tanks may have somehow fallen on to the floor. But when I finally turned on the light, I see Corkii half hanging out of the tank, and the glass door nowhere to be seen. I then found it lying on the floor, quite a distance away from the viv.
Somehow, since it wasn't connected to the lock, he pushed it upwards and made it fall out of the brackets.

Luckily, the door didn't smash as it hit the floor, or that snake would have been in serious trouble!

And that was how Corkii nearly broke his viv by trying to escape.
And he wouldnt be doing it again, as my dad put some stuff in the top bracket to stop it from be able to go up and be removed, unless it is in the middle

My BP has spent the past hour climbing up his hide, onto the suction cups for the thermometer and hygrometer, and testing the lid for any escape points. Every few minutes you hear him fall down lol.

LOL , don't encourage him!!! He might escape again!!
