Are you a herper ? Find out!

Patrick went through his first shed yesterday as I was leaving for work. When I got home (this morning around 3 am) he had shed all but a strip along his back. I was wondering if I should just wait and see if it comes off on it's own or if I need to massage it off?

Thanks for the info Smynx. That title is rightly earned. (on a side note. My BP has taken to the habit of sleeping on top of his hide instead of in it. Almost reminds me of Snoopy and his dog house.)

Wow, I read a post I made in that thread back in Feb, about 2 weeks after I got my BP. I sound, so, well, noobish....haha thanks to this site I've learned quite a lot since then.

Some other people here have BPs that do that same thing. I figure it's just a different temperature for them to experience. The great thing is that it gives you a chance to observe them and lets you know that they feel secure enough to be out in the "open" like that.

I figure he's pretty secure with me. The only real time he stays in his hide is after eating or when it starts getting close to his shed and the eye caps are inhibiting his sight. Otherwise he stays out in the open. I'm trying to get my camera working so I can get a picture of him and post it. (I can almost guarantee that the one time he'll stay in his hide is when the camera is working)
