    Shedding or not shedding.. HELP

So earlier I posted about my Orange Ghost ball python thinking it could have some type of illness due to shipping. but recently i called the breeder and he said that he is most likely shedding and and is too dry ( I had a heat bulb and a heatiing pad in there for him), leading to him wheezing trying to breathe. So now I have taken away the heating lamp leaving only the heating pad. As well as leaving the day light during the day. I am also trying to soak him in warm water for an hour or two a day.. BUT.. i am having a hard time getting him to stay in the soaking container. Is there any thing I am doing wrong or could do better?

I wouldn't soak him unless he has a serious stuck shed and even then your better off putting him in a damp pillow case inside his enclosure for a few hours. If you have him in a glass tank use foil or foil tape to close off the screen top and get some spangium moss and pack it around the corners and where ever and mist daily to keep the humidity up. Get as large a water dish as will fit in his tank, it will help with humidity plus he can get in it and soak if he wants too.
If you don't have your heat pad/ UTH controlled on a thermostat unplug it immediately and go back to your heat lamp. NEVER use a UTH without a thermostat EVER that's the big golden rule of BP husbandry.
If he keeps wheezing or it gets worse vet trip ASAP.

First question is: How are you regulating that UTH??
Second question is: What is your humidity and temperatures?
