My original plans had doors that swung down, but i couldnt find hinges sturdy enough to mount to 1/2 inch. I switched to swing out, and I'm glad i did.

Did you notice the 1/4" gap on both doors? I copied the idea from boaphile. Apparently it allows me to not hack up the box for big ol air vents

Here's an added pic of the top finish. If only the whole box came out this nice...
