What would be a good size tank for my Kingsnake?

I was thinking of a 75 gallon. Would that be ok if I filled it right?

    What species of kingsnake?

Personally, I would go with a 3x2 or 4x2 enclosure like an Animal Plastic or similar instead of the 75 gallon. Remember, fish tanks are for fish, not reptiles

I would probably go 3x2 if it is a smaller species of kingsnake.

Is your king an adult or hatchling?

If it's an hatchling you must start small if it's an adult so long you can provide proper temps (and that will be the hardest part in a large glass enclosure) it's fine.

Does it need something that big, is it gonna be easy to heat, or clean? NO but again if you are aware of that I don't see an issue, unlike BP, Kings, Milks are not prone to stress.

By banana snake, do you mean a Banana California Kinsnake? Honestly at that size I would have him in a storage tote (15-32quart) or a 10 gallon tank (if you prefer a tank). That is far too small for a large enclosure.

Got any pics? I've been wanting a king soooooo bad.

Start with a small plastic shoe box or a 10 gallons tank do not put a snake that size in a 75 gallons tank.

Thanks Deborah. He's an adult (1-3) and has a very curious nature. I was hoping to get him some cute hamster hides with holes in them. He has a skull right now that he curls into and loves his paper towel rolls. I'm not sure if he actually needs a 75, but want to make sure he has enough space to stretch and explore.

Alright , then you mean banana kingsnake. IMO, I would start small and move up in living space as the animal grows. 11gms is a tiny hatchling that maybe you want to put in a critter keeper and put the critter keeper in a small tub. The tub you can set up with your heating element and other necessities. Make sure to get a locking tub from Home depot or Lowes. You can use the ends of toilet paper rolls or paper towel rolls as your hides for now.

Yes! California King with crystal blue eyes! He's aggressive and I am hoping I can tame him. He does cute really well though.

My phone is broken so no pics yet. Will post in the coming weeks.
