    There are many strategies that people use on here. First time through I would just go ahead and thaw the rats, get them nice and warm, and just give it a shot. Some snakes take right to it no issues. Some believe in doing a 'zombie dance' with the thawed rat, in attempts of making it look alive. Some think that's nonsense. If the snake doesn't coil the rat, you can try leaving it just outside the snakes hide. Ive done this over night with good success. Just make sure to throw away any uneaten rats that have been left in the cage for too long, as they do rot pretty quickly
