feeding question
I got my first boa on Saturday. the breeder said she eats every 10 days. the last time she ate was last Monday so should i feed her on thursday ( it would be 10 days) or should i feed her sooner?

How old is the boa? Every 10 days is too long for a hatchling. Some feed every 5 days, but I do every 7 days for all ages.

Feed an appropriately sized rodent once a week. Breeders sometimes tend to feed on the low side to keep babies from growing fast.

If you just got her, I'd wait another week before feeding to let her settle in she certainly won't starve. However, depending on your "eye" for snakes, if you feel confident she'll take it without hesitation you could go at the 10 day mark.
Then go weekly or every 10 up to the 6 month to 1 year mark.
There are a lot of different methods, but what you should be looking for when feeding, is the total elimination of the previous meal. Do not feed the snake until the snake has emptied out. Usually the urates come first the then feces the next day or two and that very well could be combined with more urates for the grand finally.
Your snake should run that cycle in a fairly predictable manner.
After the year mark things will change as far as frequency and prey size but you are not at that point yet.
