I'm about to get my very first ball python by the end of the month, just waiting for them to have their first shed
And been fed 3-4x by the breeder. I'm having a hard time choosing between a female pastel And a female het ghost.
If have the money i will definitely get both. Sadly I dont. I know that i should just pick what I like best. But I'm
Curious to what would be your choice if you were to choose just one.
Your inputs will be much appreciated.

What are your future plans?
If you want something a little different to show I would go with a pastel.
If you are wanting to breed, I would probably start with the pastel too unless you plan on getting a visual OG male at some point.

I would agree it is all based on your plans. If you aren't going to breed snakes then get the pastel and if you are get the het ghost and either a visual ghost or another het.

Even the basic morphs other than a pastel.. I came up with a plan and asked the breeder
Who I'm buying the snake from if its cool with him to let one of his male bp to my female
Bp once it reaches breeding age..then split the the offsprings.
I'm thinking of pairing the het ghost female to his bumble bee het ghost. If were lucky
We might hit some visual ghosts.. I'll keep a visual male then pair it back to its mom to
Produce my own. Then sell or trade the results to be able to get the morphs that I want.
The downside to this is that if we dont hit the odds,and produced only normals.
If I choose the pastel,im planning to pair it with a killerbee or killerblasts to eliminate the
Chance of getting normals.. Should I take the risks in a het to het pairing or should I just
Go with the easier path?. Recessives hold their value longer than the codom/Dom morphs correct?. . sorry for the long newbie post sirs.

Recessive hold their value but ghost has been around so long its value has already tanked as far as I think it is going to go. A visual is under 100 bucks. Same with pastel, there really isn't much room to go down. With either morph I wouldn't worry about prices.

So pick the morph you want to work with, you won't be selling the babies for much anyways unless the male is a powerhouse of some sort.

Will cost you around 175-200 dollars. A visual ghost 300. A het for 150 dollars.
I was searching for a cool hypo/ghost combo on the internet and I stumbled upon a butter enchi ghost and an enchi ghost Mojave.. Neat looking animals!. oh by the way,
What hypo/ghost combo do you guys like in particular?. Or you might want to have in your collection?.
