Re: Record Keeping
Ahh, now I know where the QR codes come from! That's pretty neat! Thanks, guys, it's cool hearing everyone's methods and what works for them! I'll have to go check out those apps. The notebook has been working fine for me, but I keep imagining after a while I'll want to try doing something from my phone or computer.

Those of you that use Reptile Scan, I'm assuming you pay for the PRO? Is the app basically useless unless you subscribe?

I use reptile scan for my records, though I don't pay for pro. Pro for the most part lets you make new categories and actions along with seeing a photo of the animal on the my reptiles page on the computer website, along with a few other bells and whistles. I just paid for the $25 app

Re: Record Keeping
I only have one snake now but after reading everybodies recording strategies I feel like I should hop on the train. My only question is is it worth it to keep track of one snake? I don't plan on getting anymore due to financial/living space reasons. Of course I'd LOVE more sneks. Louie is just perfect for me now xx

You'd be best off with a dedicated notebook or a spreadsheet of some kind. Hang it or keep it near the snake and check things off / write things down.

I'm sorry, but I can't find one.
Is there a good thread about suggestions for animal labels? Ex. Fire.2014.M.1?

Is Reptile scan only for a smart phone or can you use it on a pc?

I record birth year, origin, genealogy, locale, etc, but besides that, I'm just eyeballing things. Keeping records of every shed, feed, bowel seems like more work and worry than it's worth. I record hatchlings until they pass all checks - sheds, feeds, craps - but other than that, no thanks. I mark ovulations, prelay sheds and lay dates on a wall calendar.
