My BP was off of food since I got her (~4 months) until just recently. She had a respiratory infection when I got her, and she was still being stubborn after it cleared up. I tried feeding her live mice and rats of all shapes, colors, and sizes without any luck. I started to consider assist feeding because she was starting to get really skinny. I was tired of buying live prey regularly without any luck, so I tried feeding a F/T mouse. After thirty minutes of coaxing, I was able to get her to eat for the first time since I got her. I guess she was having none of that live stuff (even though that is what she was being fed before I brought her home), which is okay by me since I know she's eating.

I fed her another F/T mouse last week, and she ate it in less than two minutes. Who knew all it would take was switching from live to F/T. It's worth a try, if you haven't tried it yet!
