For those who want to do the same thing, get account with Google Photos and sink your camera/phone (or load them). Then take pics rapidly. Google's algorithm will pick up on the time and offer a .gif via email. Might be a good way to show more details of your snakes.

Thank you Gio, yes she is Diamond x Jungle. Out of a few other siblings, she had the most "diamond" traits, and was with the highest yellow.

I'd like to see more of her. My costal is a cross, but it is really impossible to tell with what. I've been told jungle, diamond or possibly IJ.

Came back to look at this last pic again. I guess what is intriguing and so cool to me looking at these two side by side is, they (colors) are a reverse of each other. And that just looks so awesome together!
You have a beautiful pair there.

It looks like the water bowl is big enough for both of them to squeeze into together if need be for s soak. If they both go into the blue at the same time. I'd like to see a pic of that.

I guess it all depends on the lighting, but your girl seems to look, AND IS a lot more diamond than mine.

You've got two nice ones there and I like the contrasting patterns, one dark snake, one light snake.

How are they getting on?

No acclimation issues being housed together I'm guessing?

Are the activity levels the same? One more arboreal than the other?

My girl is about 50-60% perched and 40-50% ground.

Interesting pattern, almost like a Bredi's, but can also see Diamond and Jungle as well. I also think yours is a bit older than mine, so hard to tell as they can change so much with age and depending on background.

Normally I would probably not mix species or sub-species, but these guys seem to be already down that road and the colors are amazing on Carpets. Maybe once I get into the genus more, I might start working with local/species specific.

So far so good, they will even share water bowl even though I have two. The Jag does climbs and perches more, while the Jungle x Diamond hardly climbs and is typically on the ground or in the water.

I did have an issue with mites (found a couple), the first week and that was eradicated. With all the ways of controlling mites, I am surprised they make it into collections. The only thing I can think of is being imports of other snakes and/or bad husbandry by those who return or sell to the pet store. That worries me due to the disease these can harbour and spread.

As far as feeding, I just feed at the same time and monitor/keep separate until they both have consumed the meal. So far not that hard, and by two days they are ready to hold and don't show any aggression twords myself or each other.

As far as people discussing, it is a tough thing to put yourself out there and share your experiences. Plus, there are just less people into reptiles than back in the day. I will keep sharing because I am just amazed at what great pets Carpets make and the amazing colors you get out of them. Thank Gio for taking the time to chat and share yourself. It is these conversations that will keep the chat rooms inviting to those new and those old to the hobby wanting to share their experiences.
