Where do you live? Just curious as to what kind of base humidity you're working with.
I keep mine in a tub, on a mix of cypress/coco/moss, with a big water bowl, and also have no trouble keeping humidity over 90%.
BUT, I live in a place where the average humidity is over 60% to start with. So I'm kind of on BRB easy mode.

I live in Ontario, Canada so temps swing pretty wildly during the seasons. The humidity isn't great. If I don't do anything to a tub (no humidity friendly substrate, no big water bowl, no water dish resting on the heat pad, etc.) my humidity in my tubs will stay at like 30-40%.

Ah yes, I forgot you were in Canada too.
Makes sense! I'm in Newfoundland, so I pretty much live in a fog bank. Haha

Yes definitely depends on the region. I live in CO where humidity goes to die. If we get above 18% humidity it's a big deal. Pretty hard to maintain here
