    Contrast is the key. Take a piece of cardboard or a cardboard box and cut a hole that is slightly smaller than an egg. I like a box because that can sit on a table with the flashlight shining upward at the hole. Or use a 25 watt bulb in a goose neck or clamp-on lamp plugged into a wall electrical socket.

    Dim or turn off the room lights, whatever you use.
