Boob-egg question.

Hey everyone.

We have been breeding for years now, and have been VERY fortunate, and never had a bad egg, until this year.
This clutch came from a 1600g +/- Lesser female, and was laid on May 9th. Essentially the boob egg in question looked just like this straight from the lay. It was not quite this dark though. It has darkened over the past 2 weeks.
Now, I've seen plenty of threads with boob eggs going to term, and hatching a healthy baby. Today, I candled it and the vein structure looks very good. So, to me, that says let it go and see what happens.
In the first picture, you can see some white spots developing on the dark portion of the egg. They appear to be mold. The incubation box they are in is in the high 80% humidity, and the other eggs feel great.


Now, my question. Is there something I can spot-treat the mold spots on the boob egg with, to keep it from spreading and potentially killing it? The mold is also touching one of the good eggs, That worries me also.

The mold won't hurt the other eggs. Just leave it alone.

Thanks. Still seems to be fine. Great vein structure. Only worry is, the size of the healthy portion of the egg is appx 1/2 that of a normal egg.

I've seen some people here on BP.net hatch teeny tiny ball pythons out of boob eggs, though I have no personal experience with them myself.

I've seen boob eggs produce 10g Ball Pythons. It will for sure be teeny tiny, may even be the cutest snake you've ever seen in your life. Be prepared!

I've hatched out two Retics, three Ball Pythons and a Carpet Python from boob eggs, they all came out healthy but quite small. The only issue i had with each and every one of the hatchlings was food refusal, i had to assist feed all of them between one and three times before they started taking rodents on their own. I am sure a lovely snake will hatch out of that boob egg. Good luck and congratulations on the clutch!

:UPDATE:

So.... The egg went to term. We cut the clutch at day 54, and it looks like a mix of stuff. Cut the boob, and we see movement

We are cautiously optimistic, and will see what happens when the little guy makes his way out!

Day 62, this little monster decided to emerge from that ugly boob egg. 34grams of genuine fury! Much danger! So bitey!
Thanks for the input folks. I left the egg alone, didn't screw with the mold, and he hatched on his own. Cute little Super-Lesser.
