Hey guys. I'm new to this forum, and I have found it very helpful when gathering information about Ball Pythons!

Anyway, I'm getting my very first snake soon. He is a spider, presumed male, and he is a rescue from a local exotics club. According to his keepers he is around 18 months old, and has never missed a feed. He has had no health problems, and is a friendly and kind snake. I have met him once- at a open day at the vets, and at the town carnival, so I got to spend some time handling him (He was an amazing snake) . I have made the decision to give him his forever home.

We have a 3ft vivexotic vivarium coming tomorrow, along with aspen bedding and some thermometers. We already have a ceramic heater with a thermostat, which used to be used for my mum's anole lizards. I also have some nice hanging plastic plants (30cm-45cm) left over from when I got my crested geckos, which I plan to put in. We also have a nice big lump of java wood!

I am currently searching up some nice hides- and of course a large-ish water bowl on Amazon.

What else should I look into getting?
And also, what temperature should the heater be?

Thanks. I'll have to post some pictures when I get the viv set up!
