    Let's raise this thread from the grave. I ended up keeping both of those hatchlings. The darker one was a female who is due to lay any day now. The lighter one is a male who proved out to be a pewter bee granite. The granite lightened it up and made the pattern a bit busier which made it look like a sterling but he has since proven out to be pewter bee granite, not sterling bee.

    Here's his baby that just hatched yesterday - this one IS a sterling bee. Came out nice and fat at 74g! I thought I'd update and share here to show how a full generation gets raised up and bred and also to compare the sterling bee to the pewters at hatchling size from the same lines







    Male or female, you can bet this one is getting held back!! I think this also highlights how you can raise your own snakes to improve the quality of your collection without going on shopping sprees.
