    Finally Got My Carpet Python!

Well I WAS holding out for a Jungle Python. However, this semi local guy kept teasing me on Craig's List with this beautiful 2010 7Ft. female Carpet for months!

I finally caved about 10 days ago. I decided to wait for her huge feeding bulge to go down and for her to shed before introductions were in order.

I had her name picked out on the way to pick her up. But when I saw her cool head marking of a Texas Longhorn Skull, I just had had to name her after the famous Texas Cattle Baroness- Lizzie Johnson.

    So Lizzie it is!

An EXTREEEMLEE active snake! Quite difficult to take pics while handling!

While I was trying to take a pic, she whipped behind my head and went in between the towel rack. She is much thicker than towels! I had to wrestle her out backwards. It was like fighting a gator! She was hissing the whole time. But if I didn't get her out she would yank the rack out of the wall.

Looking back it was funny! She is tame as snail.

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

    I'm in East TX.

The CL ad on this one was of the snake in her water dish. And the dish was way too small.

Congrats on your beautiful girl! They are extremely active and opinionated snakes, I'm learning that quickly lol.

    Outstanding!

    Did I miss the type?

Obviously in the US without locality data you could have a cross, but that's not a big deal with carpets. They are all beautiful and you have a winner!
