    Genetic stripe health issues?

The genetic stripe is one of the morphs I plan on getting next but today I met some guy at a local coffee shop who said he had worked with snake years ago. When I told him about my next planned purchase he told me that genetic stripes had severe health issues like kinking, eye deformities, lower jaw issues and are a complete mess.

I personally have never heard of this. Is it true and if so, how often does the deformities happen? Is the morph even worth my time?

    Re: Genetic stripe health issues?

I've never heard that about genetic stripes. Some morphs are prone to certain problems, like spider & woma for wobbles, caramel albino for kinks, black pastel for head deformities, but those are generally only if you breed two of the same morph together. If bred to a different morph, the chances of a problem are greatly reduced. But either way, I've never heard genetic stripe included in that list... But I'm not an expert.

That is what I figured... not sure if the guy had a different morph in mind and got it confused but I had to be make sure. It really wouldn't stop me from getting a pair but I am always up for knowing these kind of things in advance.

    This

I have a Pastel Genetic Stripe and she is perfect in any way!! apart maybe from the fact that she hasn't eaten in a 3 months already but that is not because of her being a Genetic Stripe.

    no kinking

    no bug eyes

and you just gonna have to trust me she doesn't have a lower jaw problem
