cold room ambient temperatures

this saturday im planning on picking up a bci, right now i live in the basement and im going to use an ap t8 to house the snake, for heating im using a reptile basics rhp with a ve-100, and it does a great job of heating where the probe is to a steady 90 degrees, but the rooms air around the tank is about 64 degrees or so ending up so that on the warm side next to the glass is about 80 and the cool side is around 74, i have a few ideas on what i could do before saturday but i was lookin for advice, thanks!

oh, also, im using cypress which turned out to like oversaturate the tanks air, im planning on drying it out by opening both ends of the glass doors and blowing a fan through it, any comments on that are also amazing

I would consider getting a space heater for the room or a oil filled heater. Place it next to the enclosure? Maybe consider a Che To go directly over the enclosure. The cypress mulch can be placed in a shallow pan and heat dried in the oven. Then placed in the enclosure.

I have the same problem my room is about 64 degrees year round so I would also like advice on heating, I was planning on having half the enclosure sit over a heating pad, does anyone know if that would properly heat it for a BCI?

Same thing as above. If you use the heating pad make sure to grab a thermostat to regulate it.
