feeding multiple mice
I got my 240 gram male ball python 3 weeks ago and has eaten 3 separate times. The first time was a single hopper which he devoured. After he ate that he continued to cruise his cage looking for more prey, so the second feeding I gave him 2 smaller hoppers, which he devoured again. The third feeding I fed him 2 large hoppers which again he gobbled up.
My question is will a ball python continue to eat even if they are full or well they try to eat whatever is in front of them? I just don't want to some how over feed him and have him regurgitate his meal.

Question is why are you feeding hopper to a 240 grams animals? At this point you are underfeeding him.
Hoppers is what hatchlings get out of the eggs by the time they are 100+ grams they can be fed adult mice.
Right now you need to feed a prey equal it's girth size.

Re: feeding multiple mice
Again this is my first BP, the breeder had been feeding him hoppers so i figured it would be safe to make sure he is eating. I will switch him to adults next feeding thank you for informing me on that.
Regarding my original question, will they stop when they are full?

They are opportunistic so they could devour several preys before stopping which does not mean they should, same goes for trying to eat a prey larger than they can handle.
That's their instinct which work well in the wild as there is not telling when "the next meal will walk by" however in captivity it is up to us to limit them as they already eat weekly.

Re: feeding multiple mice
They'll eat until they explode to be honest. I wound try to get the little one on rat pups personally, but that's me. He should definitely be on larger prey though.

Depends on the snake.
I have a couple that will only take one item (rat or mouse) and then wont touch anything else.
Then I have a couple that would probably eat themselves to death.
If your snake is showing more interest try switching to rats.

Re: feeding multiple mice
I would try switching to rat pups asap as the longer he eats mice the harder it will be to get him off mice. Rats will be much cheaper and they are better for him. Snakes can over eat then again most of us over eat as well.
