As has already been said, taking a snake to a vet that isn't an exotics specialist you run the risk of basically wasting your time. The only time I've ever had that work out was when I knew exactly what was wrong and what I needed prior to taking the animal in.

The easiest way to figure out what a vet visit will run you is to call the office and ask since it varies depending on the vet.
