    Still waiting ...

I've paired my pastel female 6 or 7 times starting in November till now, observed locks every pairing, male is producing plugs. The female has put on 800 grams since November but I have not seen an ovy ( I'm also not much good at palpating), and she has not went off feed except for two weeks (back to back). I introduced the male again tonight and instantly she started tail wagging. If she is still tail wagging is that a sure fire sign that she has not ovulated yet?

All you can do is wait, Its the biggest game when it comes to snake's if everything you said is true, she should be getting ready to ovy/drop. Pairing and eating wont hurt

I've been trying to self teach but I only have two females that were big enough this year to produce follicles so I was kinda limited as to test subjects lol I felt some stuff this season but couldnt differentiate ... Even when to my local reptile shop to see if he could give me a crash course but he didn't have anything with follicles at the time .... This next season I will have 5 possibly 6 females that will be of breeding size so hopefully I'll be able to get it down next season

Don't worry. Keep pairing them, that is whats really important. Tail wagging is just the excitement of the female and her advertisement to the male that she is going to be receptive. He may or may not show interest. I don't know for sure if tail wagging has any indication or information about ovulation. In any event , if she has ovulated or not it will not hurt to pair the male with her. Make sure you are giving the male rest every 3rd day! Good luck.
Stay in peace and not pieces.

If she is still on food she hasn't ovulated yet. How big and old is the male? I have only one girl that does the tail wagging thing. She does that and then runs from the male. He always wins the fight though lol
