I love that they do this, I have even seen pictures where almost nothing is in the hide but the snakes head. It always cracks me up. My boy has gotten stuck on his old hide recently. I have gotten him new hides that are the right size and right now he has a new cool hide, a new hot hide, and his old hide which is also over the heat mat. I am constantly finding him in the too small hide with half of his body poking out the sides. We joke that it is his turtle shell since he seems to just rest it on his back and call it good. I sure doesn't look comfortable, but he seems happy enough. I had originally figured he would be relieved to have larger ones and abandon that one entirely, but no such luck lol. He uses all three but I am always amazed by his willingness to cram himself into something clearly way too small for him.
