Since the thermostat issue was already brought up I'll bring up one point about the fake tree. Is that one of the kinds that are all hollow inside including up into the limbs? If so you may want to reconsider it, do a search here for ball python stuck in fake tree and you will find several reasons why not to use those till they get a lot bigger.
