I bought my Hog Island from a local pet store and the guy I spoke to initially was pretty knowledgeable and talked the talk. When I finally decided to go rescue the little one, the main guy wasn't working so I had to deal with another staff member who wasn't quite as comfortable handling snakes. He had trouble finding her, hidden under some fake viny stuff and when he saw her coiled up he said "Uh-oh, don't like the looks of that" (totally mystified me as I had been in and held this boa - she was pretty laid back). He then proceeded to get out a pair of these big, thick, rubber gloves (like the kind used in hot water or high temp applications - somewhat amusing but still a bit of overkill) to hand her over to me. But they do have some nice snakes in this store and I'm pretty sure that this is due to the guy that knows (and likes) his stuff.
