i switched the snakes from live, to pre-killed, and tonight i tried frozed and thawed. i put the snakes in the boxes, and let them roam around for a moment. i used tongs and made the mouse do a little dance. roswell took a moment, but he got it and swollowed it down pretty fast. roo got it even quiker. as soon as she smelled it she jumped, and got it. they both had no problems taking the f/t mice. i hope they will take them from now on.

    Grats!

Thats funny because I tried feeding Amy a live mouse and she didn't seem too excited about it, but I killed it and then tried again and she grabbed it fairly quickly. So far she wont eat frozen/thawed so Im on fresh-killed.
Im untouchable but Im forcin you to feel me!

Well, Ippo switched to frozen/thawed mice easily enough (I just offered him one week and he took it no problem). However, I have just converted him to rats.

My first attempt feeding him a f/t rat a few weeks ago, he wouldn't take it, so I ended up giving him a mouse. Then, for the next meal, I fed him a prekilled rat, and he ate it down fine. Now, just tonight, I offered him a f/t rat but he refused it again. I thought that the reason he refused this f/t rat and the original f/t rat was because they were too big for him. However, just to take a chance, I offered the rat to my new female and she took it down. It's a bit bigger of a bulge than I would like but nothing too extreme. So, my thinking is that my male BP has something against f/t rats specifically. I'm guessing it may be because he's not used to the scent of rats yet, and the freezing process further disrupts the scent. I'll keep feeding him prekilled for a little while, and then try frozen again.
