Waterfall+background q

Can I make a waterfall out of my exo terra background? I already know how I'd do it but I'm not sure if the styrofoam will hold up and if the paint will make the water toxic because it will be a part of his water dish.

I have had a few waterfalls over the years and I really like the look and sound. The only issue that I would be worried about with what you are talking about is cleaning it. You have to clean it regularly and I don't think the foam background will stand up to the cleaning that will be required.

Okay, what have you used in the past other than pre built ones?? I have a small pump already that should work perfect, not strong enough to push through more than 1.5 feet of tube but the amount it pushes out is perfect. I believe it's called the repti 200 but I don't have it near me right now

Was planning on using silicone and plexi glass or thick plastic to make a built in tub under a partly cut out background. It would be a hassle to clean but I don't mind the daily maintenance

One was premade.

The others I had a pump and tube that I would use driftwood and rocks to set it up flowing into a overflowing water bowl. I had hydrabeads at the bottom of the tank to let the water flow through.

Once I got away from the glass tanks and starting using pvc I just didn't need them and decided to stop using them.
