Split mive into 2 halves

My ball python split the large mice into 2 halves what do I do? Should I try and give him another one or wait..or does he need bigger not sure what to do.

Im not sure what you are trying to say.

You are feeding and the mouse split apart into two halves?

If so,

Is the snake still eating it? If it is let it and all will be well.

If not I doubt trying to feed right after that is going to go well. I would wait til the next feeding day.


As far as the feeder size Im lost as to what it has to do with a mouse exploding. It happens.

Yea it mice just split in 2 and he is still eating it.. thank you @kmg

I have had that happen a few times. Once my BRB popped one open and then ate it under water.

I haven't had any popped rats yet but I did have one where the tail just snapped right off when I went to pick it up with the tongs!

I've also had a mouse explode on my bp while she tried to constrict it ate it just fine then gave herself a bath in her water dish
