    I would be cautious with plants that need much light. BPs do not have UV needs so lights other than the red heat ones which they cannot see lights can cause some of them stress.

    I have a day light over my Ball tank and all my other cages do as well. They are all on timers and give my collection a regular light cycle. I have not had any issues with any of my snakes dealing with the lights.

    Mine is also on a timer and I want the plants for shade in the first place. Also snakes can see/sense infrared
