If you're looking for an inexpensive option, here is one that's more commonly used in the hobby: http://www.amazon.com/Hydrofarm-MTPR...ords=hydrofarm.

You said you were getting a Herpstat. What happened to that?

No matter how many threads you create the answers are not going to change. Buy it right the first time. The cheap options will break and then you are left to buy a new tstat, and possibly deal with vet bills for a burn, or a dead snake.

You have been given good advice in your threads. Failing to use it is on you.

You only have one question. You have just asked it several ways. The issue is you spread information out and members start answering questions without all the needed information to best help you. You are talking dimmers, say your buying a Herpstat, and now asking about a different tstat. If you keep it in one thread you will get better answers and not junk up the forum with a bunch of threads that should be one. It is easier on all of us that way.

dude why do you care how many posts i have, does it honestly effect you in anyway whatsoever. i never said i was getting a herpstat, i said im saving for one. there is no need to be so rude. i would much rather appreciate a helpful post on my thread as opposed to one condemning my posting. take your opinion elsewhere

    Re: thermostat

if you need to get another cheaper thermostat that can fit in you budget i would highly recommend a hydrofarm thermostat for heat pads

I was not trying to be rude. They are words on a screen, relax.

Yes, it does effect me as I'm one person trying to help you out in your many post. We could have figured out just what you needed if you shared the whole story from the beginning. You don't go back to your old threads for any discussion you just seem to create new ones. I'm just trying to help you get the best help possible.

I'm sorry I concluded saving for a Herpstat meant you are getting one, my mistake. Silly me.

I will not help you any further. I'm sorry for being such a bother taking my time to help you.

To PM(Private Message) you just click on the users name in the thread and then select "Private Message." If you meant to create a new thread you go into the forum category you desire to post in and the select create.

    As for your question.

I have had two. The first was a young Biak and she was a terror. We never got along and she bit me every chance she got. My current one is an Aru and he is really a good boy. During the daylight hours I can reach right in and pull him out, unless he is in the shed process. During the day he will crawl around on me and hang out with me and gives me no problems. However, at night the flip gets switched and he strikes everything that goes into the cage.

If you are interested in one I would recommend getting one that is a bit older like a sub adult or even an adult. This way you can see what temperament they already have. Most all neos are going to strike while young and while some grow out of it some don't.
