"Oops! I forgot I can't fit in my hide like that!"
Wish I had a picture, but the camera wasn't handy. I was feeding my BRB tonight, and she struck it off the tongs for the first time. Usually I just leave it in there. After tossing a few coils on the mouse, she tried to move back into her hide. It didn't work. She ended up uncoiling herself from the mouse and dragging it into her hide before she appeared to put the coils back. Goof. Anyone else seen a snake do that? It was really odd.

I've never had one do that, but I have had them strike, coil, and squeeze for a long time only to let it go and then when I wiggle the prey item again - strike, coil and squeeze again! Usually they eat it the second time, thankfully. Funny things!

I wouldn't take her to a restaurant , she appears to prefer dining in.

And her feeding behavior continues. Yesterday she did the same thing again, and when I went to check on her a little later, I found her with her head inside her hide and the rest of her body outside. "If I can't see you, you can't see me, yes?" I really need to keep a camera around when I'm feeding her. She's weird.

I know what you mean about the camera not being with you during feeding. One of these days I will make it routine. But then I will need a third hand.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

Hahaha... My BRB pulls her food into her hide to eat as well, but she's generally more successful.
