URGENT HELP! Blood coming from ball pythons anus, was making really strange noises.

Just earlier our ball python was twisting around violently and opening and closing her mouth while making weird noises. After she retreated to her hide. We inspected the area she was freaking out in and there was blood on her substrate, upon further inspection we noticed she had a small flesh looking thing sticking out of her anus, it was red and bloody. We put her in some water and it seemed to have retreated because it was hardly visible once we tried to snap a picture.

What could this mean? What can we do? A vet isn't accessible to us at the moment and won't be until tomorrow. Her cage is always around 55-60% humidity. We also moved up her mouse size (to a small) on the 7th, (today is the 21st), later that week we fed her the last fuzzie as well just so we didn't have to throw it away, but a few days later she regurgitated it, and then on the 17th we tried to feed her again and she didn't eat, we figured it was because her shed process has started (her eyes were blue).

What could possibly be wrong with her? What could have caused this. Any ideas or information anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated and help ease our minds a little bit because we are freaking out right now. Thanks!

Sounds like a prolapse to me. I really don't know much about them. I think it May be infected. You May need to take your snake to the vets but wait for a pro to answer more on this. Your snake sounds very ill, this seems like it could be worse than a prolapse.

When was the last shed and how sure are you that "she" REALLY is a she?

It has completely went back into her anus now, could she just be constipated?

Last time she shed was February 23rd, the only reason we "think" its a she is because the lady at petsmart told us when we asked, but you never know. Although we looked up information about prolapsed hemipenes and it didn't seem to be anything really close to what our snake is experiencing.

It could be a reproductive organ. But if it doesn't seem like that, I would take him to the vets. If it's not a prolapse, I really don't know.

That's right...breeders keep the females and sell the males to pet stores. Nomals I mean.

Could have been a prolapse or could have been a male organ. Did you get a good enough look at it to tell? A prolapse will look just like a bulge of red possibly bloody flesh and a sex organ will look like, well, a sex organ.

On the chance it was a prolapse, if it happens again dissolving honey in the water bath will reduce swelling and help it go back in easier.
