    First visual lock!

This time last year is when I started my collection and took my time finding the right snakes for my projects. Mostly babies that I am growing up but I also picked up an adolescent female that came into breeding size at the beginning of this year. She is a 100% het clown and I've been pairing her with my lesser het clown since February. I've only seen "possible locks" until today. I put them together last night and cracked the window in the snake room a bit since it was raining. Checked on them this morning and BAM! Locked up!

That rain definitely did the trick because they are still locked up now as I type. I'm very excited for this, my first season. I have a visual clown male that I could have paired her with but decided to take the chance for a lesser clown. No guts, no glory!

Nice job, way to lookout & take advantage of the weather! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding the process, it's a blast when you hatch out that special baby :-)

Thanks guys! She's has been bowl wrapping for the past week and took a rat for the first time in month. Do they go back on feed for building or should I be worried about her re-absorbing?

    First visual lock!

My girl has been getting much bigger and has continued to eat. I know it's still probably too early but how long do they usually build? I've heard it could take months.

My oldest girl (2005) finally locked up with the lesser bee I've been putting with her since feb

It's only been a couple weeks since and she is already showing significant weight change. Seems a little fast for only locking once though she has a small chance of sperm retention

    First visual lock!

    ***UPDATE***
Unfortunately my het clown girl reabsorbed not long after my last post. I'm sure it was due to us moving to our new house at that time. My killer bee, however, went on to build and lock up a few more times then on 11SEP she ovulated. Now I'm just making sure the incubator is on point and waiting for the big day!
