Info
Well, it's been two months now since I first got Ippo. I just measured him, and he's grown about 3 inches (now 25.5). I didn't weigh him for the first time until a few weeks ago, at which point he weighed about 200g. Today, he weighed about 250g, having had his first rat on Wednesday. The growth is nothing amazing, just nice and steady as I would have it.
On another note, I picked up a 2003 female BP at a local show today. It was from a reputable local breeder. However, she is very small, as this breeder feeds his hatchlings the same as he would an adult, and keeps them a few degrees cooler than normal (steady ambient 80 with no heat tape) for the first few months, to closely match the cooler rainy season around the time BP's are born in the wild (he actually monitors weather from Africa on a daily basis, LOL). Not that I would do the same, but he is a very successful and reputable breeder of Ball Pythons, so I am not about to question his methods having much less experience myself. Interestingly enough, he told me since he started raising hatchlings this way, he has had much fewer problems with feeding. Anyway, I'll post a picture of the little girl too once she gets settled in, along with the my little Savannah monitor that I've been meaning to as well.

Compadres, it is imperative that we crush the freedom fighters before the start of the rainy season. And remember, a shiny new donkey for whomever brings me the head of Colonel Montoya.
