Double-Gene Help?
Hey there,
My genetic lessons are a little rusty. When someone says they have a double-gene ball python, what does that mean? What would a double-gene Cinnamon or Butter look like/cost? Thanks!

It's a weird way to phrase it, but it means there are two morphs going on in the snake. A butter cinnamon is also called a lithium (don't ask, someone just decided to call it that) and it looks like this; http://www.worldofballpythons.com/morphs/lithium/
Price is a little more difficult, since the rules for pricing morphs and combos are arbitrary and weird. Somewhere between 150 and 500 ish, I can't find any right now so it's difficult to say for sure.

Yeah, the exact words were "double gene very rare cinnamon or butter". He said "or" which made a whole lot of no sense to me. Do you think he meant butter cinnamon? And when you say two morphs, you're saying like butter markings and cinnamon coloring?

No, I mean it would have butter and cinnamon expressed and influencing each other. It isn't really an even split, more like when you combine milk and coffee (you get a drink in between without visible components, see?). It sounds like this seller doesn't actually know anything, especially since neither butter nor cinnamon are "rare" morphs, and either or a combination are very obvious.

Re: Double-Gene Help?
I wonder if "a double-gene Cinnamon or Butter" means a super cinnamon or super butter (AKA blue-eyed white).
Normally, I would agree with Daigga. But the "or" is confusing enough that I can't say for sure what is meant. About all I can suggest is to ask the owner.

Person using that term is an idiot.
