I think that stuff raises the humidity somewhat if I'm not mistaken. There may be a warning on the back of that product that says the state of California E.P.A. found it to be cancer causing. IDK if the cancer was towards the animal in the cage or to humans though. Check the back label. I don't use any Kaytee products any more. 100% cypress mulch is a better choice. Even regular shredded or coarse aspen.That cancer warning is on their small animal bedding as well! It may be something in the ingredient nonetheless its not a good choice being suspect.
