Re: New to ball python world (pictures)
Thank you. Do you think they look healthy? The regular has wrinkles. Maybe dehydrated or need to eat. Im going to try Sunday. If regular doesn't eat i might try to assist

Assist should always be the last effort... what are you trying to feed, if doing f/t try live instead, and also try a different prey item like of your trying mice, try rats instead... or it could just be they are still stressed, are your temps and humidity correct, how long did you give them to adjust before you started handling or trying to feed... also are you feeding in a seperate cage?

Re: New to ball python world (pictures)
Well i tried each the first Sunday i had both. I tried smaller pinkies because they were out of the sizes. I have bigger ones now and will try this Sunday again. They might be getting ready to shed. There eyes will have like a grey stripe starting or something in them. The regular is starting to open up to me. The albino opened up faster. Im just wondering what other hidden genes they could possibly have. I want to possibly get two more this summer. Some lesser mohaves or something. I really want a blue eyed lucy (my dream snake) or i just get one of them.

Well, we still need to know what type of enclosure you have and what husbandry numbers you are working with. I would make sure they had clean water and a appropriate sized water dish. I think you might want to add a extra hide for both of them. Reconsider the assist feeding until you try a few other things first. Try not to handle them for about a week and don't feed them either. I have a normal female from Petsmart and a pastel from Petco and they are my best feeders. Be a little patient.

Re: New to ball python world (pictures)
Well i have two tanks. One 20 and one 10. I will get a bigger one later. Two hides in both. I water daily. Cool side is at about 80 and im assuming lamp side is about 90. I need to get a temp gage. I was thinking they don't like smaller f/t. I will try appropriate size sunday. They could also be getting ready to shed. I can take pictures of tank setup later when i get home. To me it seems the albino is bigger and more fuller feeling. Thank you for your info.

Please NEVER assume when it come to the husbandry of your animals.
Second....... Leave them alone for a while. You have had the albino 7 days and tried to feed it twice already? Stop. Breath. Wait 4 or 5 days and DO NOT handle them at all.
All you are doing is adding more stress to them.
After this time. You can try f/t and then IF it doesnt work try live hopper mice. They get the job done every time.

Once for albino twice for regular. What about poppibg for sex. Should i possible get one or two more girls for the year. I have never been to expos but i plan on attending one this month and one in July. Where can i pick up a good temp radar to test the tanks? Thank you for your info.

Re: New to ball python world (pictures)
I left the regular alone for a week first before i tried handling. The albino acts differently and as soon as i picked it up it wanted to explore so no more hiding. I know to start off holding little by little and work my way up. I'm just overly excited that i finally have some snakes. These are my first.
